Orem, UT (PRWEB) January 16, 2007

ContractPal, a leading developer of contract closure solutions, today announced their first annual New Year’s Resolution Challenge, a new and fun way to help friends, family and colleagues take a second shot at achieving their 2007 goals with a wager that is legally binding. The challenge is free, and is found at http://www.contractpal.com/newyear/.

“Like many people, my husband and I struggled with keeping our New Year’s Resolutions. So, we were excited when we found ContractPal’s New Year’s Resolution Challenge online,” said Tia Hejny of American Fork, Utah. “We both ran in college but have since lapsed and needed a little extra motivation to get back into shape. Now, with the New Year’s Resolution Challenge we have challenged each other to train for the St. George Marathon by running at least five days a week. And, if one of us doesn’t stick to the contract, the loser will be legally bound to eat a can of Alpo dog food!”

The New Year’s Resolution Challenge allows participants to select from popular resolutions or create their own resolution. The process is web-based and easy to use with only three simple steps required. The resolutions are then made legal by an electronic signature that will hold up in any court of law.

“According to a study done at the University of Washington, the most important aspect of achieving New Year’s resolutions is making a strong initial commitment,” said Robert Hicks, president and CEO, ContractPal. “We felt that a legally binding contract would further help individuals reach their 2007 goals. Veering from our usual business focus, we thought this challenge would be both entertaining and motivating. Participants are having a lot of fun with the wagers they are setting, which will ultimately hold up in a court of law.”

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 24, 2004

Philippe Ney, Keline Howard, Cyril Viguier and Surf Channel LLC, announce they have reached a settlement among themselves of Los Angeles Superior Court Case numbers SC063611 and SC069176.

The settlement resolves all differences between Ney and Howard on the one hand and Surf Channel and Cyril Viguier on the other without admission of liability by any party.

All parties are well satisfied with the resolution.

The litigation against Cyril Viguier resulted from legitimate misunderstandings between Howard and Cyril Viguier and between Ney and Cyril Viguier. Although the litigation was hotly contested and some harsh and unkind things were said by both sides in the heat of argument, Howard and NeyÂ’s faith in Cyril Viguier and his integrity have been restored.

San Mateo, CA (Vocus) July 27, 2010

Freedom Debt Relief (FDR) settled more than 4 million in consumer debt during the second quarter of 2010, saving clients more than million.

“Freedom Debt Relief settles more debt than any other company in the country,” says Andrew Housser, the company’s CEO. “The results we are able to attain in negotiating with creditors are positive proof of debt settlement’s ability to assist consumers in serious debt.”

FDR achieved the client savings – a 65 percent increase over the same period last year – by negotiating settlements on nearly 20,000 individual creditor accounts. The average savings rate of 59.3 percent of settled debt (based on total client debt balances at the time of settlement, before program fees) meant that FDR clients paid an average of just 40.7 percent of the total debt amount they owed at the time of settlement.

For example, an individual with ,000 of credit card or other unsecured (i.e., not mortgage or auto) debt that was settled by FDR paid, on average, just ,070 of that debt, with FDR professionals’ ability to settle with the individual’s creditors. In this manner, FDR acts as an independent consumer advocate on behalf of its clients to help them resolve serious debt burdens in a timely manner.

As a debt settlement firm, FDR negotiates directly with creditors on the consumer’s behalf to resolve a consumer’s debt balance. Offering an alternative to credit counseling, debt consolidation and bankruptcy, FDR’s debt settlement programs help qualified clients fully resolve their debts, typically in two to four years. According to Housser, debt settlement is best suited for individuals who are carrying serious debt, who are struggling to make required minimum payments, and who would otherwise often be considering bankruptcy or credit counseling.

About Freedom Debt Relief (www.freedomdebtrelief.com)

Freedom Debt Relief provides consumer debt settlement services. Working for the consumer to negotiate with creditors and lower principal balances due, the company has served more than 80,000 clients since 2002. The company is a member of The Association of Settlement Companies and the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators. FDR holds the Goldline Research Preferred Provider certification for excellence among debt settlement companies.

Freedom Debt Relief is a wholly owned subsidiary of Freedom Financial Network, LLC (FFN). Based in San Mateo, Calif., FFN also operates offices in Sacramento and Tempe, Ariz. The company, with more than 600 employees, was voted one of the best places to work in both the San Francisco Bay area and the Phoenix area in 2008 and 2009.

Kopin Corporation (NASDAQ: KOPN) today announced that it has been awarded the first phase of an anticipated three-phase, $4.2 million U.S. Army program to accelerate production capability and improve the performance of its CyberDisplay SXGA LVR microdisplay. The world’s highest resolution microdisplay is targeted for the Army’s next generation of night vision systems. These systems use multi-spectral imaging sensors and Kopin’s full-color displays to provide soldiers with daytime-like images – even in total darkness.

The CyberDisplay SXGA LVR is a 0.97-inch-diagonal active matrix liquid crystal display with 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution. With the integration of an internal heater, it offers nearly instant-on capability at low ambient temperatures with minimal power consumption. The CyberDisplay SXGA LVR is the culmination of Kopin’s partnership with the U.S. Government to invest and develop a new 8-inch processing line.

“This award reinforces Kopin’s position as the leading technology developer and supplier of superior, high-performance microdisplays to the U.S. military,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. John C. C. Fan. “Having succeeded in developing the Cyberdisplay SXGA LVR, we are focused on continually perfecting the technology necessary to produce such a complex display. We expect that our work on this program also will benefit our commercial display infrastructure.”

“A stable supply of color SXGA microdisplays is critical for the U.S. military’s next-generation night vision systems,” the U.S. Army said in a prepared statement. “Kopin’s CyberDisplay SXGA LVR will provide the resolution and contrast necessary to capture more detailed images. It will also offer the added capability of displaying color maps, color symbology, and sensor-fused imagery, thus increasing the situational awareness of our soldiers in the field.”

“The initial phase of this three-year program is aimed at accelerating the development of manufacturing technology for Kopin’s standard SXGA LVR,” stated Michael Presz, Kopin’s Vice President of Government Contracting. “Technology insertions planned for future phases will increase display transmission and operational readiness by incorporating advanced materials available with our new 8-inch process. The goal of the program is to create a high-volume production capability for this next-generation SXGA display, which is scheduled in lock-step with the U.S. Army’s emerging night vision programs.”
