Question by Andy T: What are some detailed examples of corruption in the efforrt to pass a health care bill.?
I’ve paid close attention to this. Unfortunately i have not taken notes. I remember a lot but, i am not sure if i would call it corruption. So why not tell me what you consider corruption within this process.

Best answer:

Answer by Alice
Corruption indicates illegal activities when in reality none of this has happened.

But there are A LOT of dirty tactics going around. Such as the GOP’s constant filibusters, which means they are able to shoot down the bill immediately without even taking a vote on it. While in theory this can be a good thing. There were more filibusters by the GOP in 2009 than all of the 1950′s and 60′s combined.

It’s a simple blatant attempt to make sure everything democratic fails, so the GOP can retake the white house in 2012. They wanna get reelected, not help the people

What do you think? Answer below!

If you were the president of the philippines, what specific law (if any) you will implement to reduce or eliminate (if possible duh!) corruption in the country?

Best answer:

Answer by Bluestreak
binding election very 4 years, which mean if you lose the election, you must comply. Also, have seperate election to form the government, which will be running independence, and no interference from the president. Similar to U.S., and here in Canada, we have 2 level of governments, Parlimentary, and Senate, which the people would wrk to pass bills (prior to become law).

“Who is being jiggered? Who is being unethically manipulated for someone else’s gain? It’s probably you and everyone like you.”

From the very first sentence, C. E. Nash’s Jiggered: The Healthcare Insurance Industry, Unraveled, Explained and Exposed takes the ins and outs of the healthcare insurance industry and presents them in a new format: one the American public can actually understand.

“Jiggered was written with one goal in mind: to help the American public understand exactly what the healthcare and insurance industries are truly like,” says Nash. “It’s an insider’s hardcore, grassroots, intimate look at exactly how the business of healthcare is carried out in this country on a daily basis and exposes the greed and financial corruption rampant in the federal and private insurance systems.”

Including topics such as insurance policies and the effects of corruption on the cost of healthcare, Nash lays out the strengths and weaknesses of the industries that make up today’s healthcare system in a jargon-less, no-holds-barred handbook for the American healthcare consumer.

Her credibility? “I’m an insider,” she says, “an insider with a unique position in healthcare that gives me a complete view of exactly what’s going on in the industry from the perspective of both a healthcare provider and a small business owner. More importantly, I’m an angry insider.”

As an instructional manual, Jiggered teaches readers how the healthcare and insurance systems work. It also, however, gives readers the tools to protect themselves from the greed and corruption in these systems and to interact with providers to bring about positive outcomes.

“You all have one thing in common,” says Nash. “You’re part of the solution, not part of the problem. Are you jiggered? You figure it out.”

About the author

C. E. Nash is no stranger to the field of healthcare. She has taught medical residents and respiratory care students in the clinical setting, engaged in medical research projects, developed medical policies and procedures and furthered educational programs within the structure of the healthcare industry. When she set out to start her own company, she first taught CPR and First Aid to small businesses while subsequently providing medical support to air and ground ambulance transport teams around the world. In her second company, she provided contract nurses and respiratory therapists to the ambulance transport industry. Currently, Nash has expanded into the ambulance transport business. Her passions inclde reading, fine art, history and the Chicago Bears. This is her first book.

Houston (Vocus) July 17, 2009

Responding to the challenges facing up corporeal court-ordered departments today in insuring circular anti-corruption compliance, Lex Mundi has rolled up and printed Best Practices in Preventing Fraud and Corruption in a Global Business. Developed by Lex Mundi member firms around the globe, in collaboration with in-house counsel and members of the Lex Mundi Client Advisory Council, Best Practices in Preventing Fraud and Corruption in a Global Business provides pragmatic suggestions and steps to alter corporations and their law firm advisors to work together to evolve efficacious compliance programs to debar, observe and remedy wrongdoing, especially fraud and corruption

As a result of significant changes in the regulatory landscape, global businesses are facing more numerous and complex regulations as well as increasingly aggressive enforcement environments. The truthful impact for businesses is a shift in emphasis from detection of corruption to enforcement a shift that increases the pressure on corporeal court-ordered departments to demo compliance.

E. Leigh Dance, President of ELD International, Inc., who assisted evolve these best practices, noticed, “Corporate law departments expend an enthusiastic deal of time and focus on reducing the risks of corruption and fraud for their organizations wherever they are about. It is a necessitating task in light of fast circular expansion and the ample range of cultures and business practices impacted by regulation. The costs tied in with insuring compliance globally are eminent, and too many corporeal law functions do not have the resources or the management commitment they necessitate. Beyond the big task of understanding and reacting to fresh regulations, in-house counsel also have the challenge of schooling the corporate workforce and its leadership about the issues in order to reduce the earthshaking risks. Law firms reding global companies can react to this challenge by working alongside in-house counsel on training, scrutinising, announcing, investigations, reacting to restrictive inquiries and other areas.”

The publication covers the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and recent FCPA enforcement actions, as well as other existing anti-corruption standards. The best practices also spread over the issues that are amidship to efficacious compliance programs and render proposed ways that in-house and outside counsel can work together in the areas of:

Corporate Policies and Procedures Monitoring, Controls, Reporting and Audits Investigations, Disciplinary Actions and Sanctions Compliance Structure: Coordination With Other Functions Within the Company Communication: Promoting Compliance and Maintaining Vigilance Education and Training in a Global Corporate Setting Responding to Third-Party Fraud and Corruption Risk

Frank Eichler, General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, a global supply chain solutions company with operations on seven continents, also commented, “Understanding the requirements of the FCPA is critical for in-house counsel of companies that do business internationally. The stakes at risk for FCPA violations are enormous today for both companies and individuals and under-managing or ignoring the risks is simply not an option.”

The publication is developed as a part of Lex Mundi’s best practices series ‘Working Together: In-House Lawyers and External Counsel’. It, as well as other best practices publications, is accessible on the Lex Mundi web site loose of charge at: http://www.lexmundi.com/images/lexmundi/PDF/BestPractices/BestPractice_FraudCorruption.pdf

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) April 23, 2010

Tampa DUI Lawyer Jeff Rich of The Law Office of Jeffrey M. Rich (http://www.TampaCriminalDefenders.com ) warns Tampa Bay area residents and visitors that spring time can be first time for DUI arrests and that Tampa police will probable be cracking down on bacchanal drivers.

Every case is antithetic, but in most cases, first time DUI offenders are condemned to probation. However with the modern condemning of Elizabeth Burgos – a first time DUI offender who was sentenced to jail time (ref: case number 09-CF-007973), Tampa judge may be altering the sentences for individuals judged of DUI. With the increase of vacationers to the area, as well as a gross increase in nonprofessional imbibing that comes with the warmer temperatures, Tampa police are on eminent watchful, and showing little patience for those driving under the influence

“I often see an increase in DUI cases in the spring and summer months,” stated Jeffrey Rich, Tampa DUI attorney with the Law Office of Jeffry M. Rich, “but the modern condemning of Burgos shows that judges in Tampa may be stiffing the penalties for first time offenders in Tampa.”

DUI Attorney Rich believes that Tampa residents should be alive of consequences they might face if born down and judged of a DUI. “DUI is a misdemeanor crime in the state Florida,” stated Rich, “but probably the most perplexed misdemeanor because you will be covering with two antithetic systems with antithetic issues.”

The first system is the DHMV and the administrative suspension of your driving privilege that can result from a DUI arrest. The second system is the wrong justice system which can place restrictions on your life and liberties as result of the State Attorney’s office acting you for going against a law in the state of Florida.

“If you’re out having an acceptable time this spring, don’t drive bacchanal,” warns Rich. “If you do get pulled over for driving under the influence, it’s adjuratory you keep on a lawyer who is well experienced in Florida DUI law.”

Fresh Meadows, NY (PRWEB) February 11, 2006

The book “The Fixer: Why US Judiciary is so corrupted?” had out of the blue thumbs up from the US establishment. Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York calls the book: “Fascinating and grappling scan and a foray into the underbelly of our critical system.” The author of the book Teddy Moore chronicles what he says is the most kept classified in US history: The distant corruption of US judiciary

Moore says the main problem with the court-ordered system as he sees it is that the court-ordered system doesn’t acknowledge to the apparent, which is that the court-ordered system is corrupted. “You don’t cognize about the corruption because the media doesn’t report it”, Moore says. “They name it a single sorry apple but the sorry apples are everywhere…on the top of the barrel, in the central, on the bottom … everywhere … they reject to report it for what it is.”

The court-ordered system is constructed to be corrupted and not to make justice. Moore says. “This is the uniqueness of the US legal system. The U.S. legal system created a system to make money for attorneys and judges. In order to do so, they created a kind of extortionate attorneys. An extortable attorney to the judge has to abide by with everything the judge asks him to do and can only be explicated as the distant means of greed of the judiciary.”

“Attorneys fear the judiciary because the system is constructed in this way…so they can be easily be extortable to the judge…. the judge can easily accept money from one party and extort the attorney of the party opponent and so close a case without cognizing or hearing anything about the facts or the law. People who believe that they come to a court to make up one’s mind their case established on the facts and the law are terribly misidentified. It’s a Mecca of just siphoning money to the judges,” Moore asserts in his book

He says that Congress is part of the problem. “Most of the Congressmen are attorneys that are afraid of the judiciary, afraid to be disbarred and sanctioned, look forward for the time they are out of Congress and join the corruption and make a buck for themselves. Therefore they cannot be part of the solution.” Recent polls support his claim that show that most of US citizen believe that their congressman or senator takes bribes

These kinds of fellows he claims cannot clean up the corrupt judiciary

“The Court of Appeals is a phony show in the US. The outcome of an appeal is well cognized. The only one who doesn’t cognize the outcome of an appeal is the client who paid the money for the imitative show. Had he cognized it was a phony show, he wouldn’t have paid the money,” Moore says

“The US Supreme Court supervises the racket of extortion, bribes and extreme corruption.” The author claims that the US judiciary is nonexempt for more damage and injuries to US people than the Nazis

Author Stephen Worob boldly relives a painful past to skid awareness as he challenges the norm in Pennsylvania, A State of Corruption.
